The secretary is responsible for all external communication of the association. This can be seen in the increasing amount of digital communication as well as in written communication. As secretary, you are responsible for the mailings to students and planning activities. Every month you send the Risk Newsletter to keep all members informed about Risk Events and other news concerning Risk.
Furthermore, you also play an important role in providing the students with information from the business world. Together with the external relations of the board you will bring vacancies and other opportunities of relevant companies, to the attention of students. Another task is to keep the website up to date and you are responsible for the Risk Magazine. This means that you will work closely together with the committee members of the Risk Magazine Committee and that you publish their articles. With all correspondence, you will monitor the usage of the Risk Corporate Identity.
Finally, you are responsible for the member administration and maintaining contact with former members of Risk, the Risk Alumni. Two times a year you organize an Alumni Activity and once a year a Former Boards Dinner, both in Amsterdam. These are fun activities to organize and to help you gain contacts, which might help you in your later career.
In short, the secretary has a very diverse task package and you will work with all your fellow board members on many areas. Next to your personal tasks and responsibilities you will be, together with your fellow board members, responsible for the daily management of the association and you will guide several committees.
